Lisa Inglert
Collective ArtistLisa Inglert crafts her jewelry from handmade lampwork glass beads that she makes in her studio one at a time, so no two are ever exactly alike. She melts rods of soda lime glass from Italy, Germany and China over a hot flame fueled by propane and oxygen, winding the molten glass onto stainless steel rods to form a variety of shapes. The completed beads are annealed at high heat in a digitally controlled kiln to ensure optimum strength and longevity.
Lisa has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning and practiced for many years as an architect. Her beads are characterized by geometric juxtapositions and vibrant color combinations. Many of her recent pieces are drawn from a mid-century modernist aesthetic. She currently lives in Cincinnati Ohio with her husband and son. She loves to joke that playing with fire is her favorite part of the day.
