John Balogh

Collective Artist

The Moncman family have been crafting fine woodwork since 1503 in Slovakia, when the first recorded craftsman built the cabinets and pews of St. Marin’s Church in Hrnciarovce and Pardou. For more than five centuries, each generation has carried this forward.

John Balogh is the thirteenth Moncman craftsman, working with tools once used by his great-grandfather. His tables and handcrafted decor pieces continue the family legacy - honoring wood, preserving heritage, and creating beauty meant to last.
